Treasury Auction
Treasury auctions set the real yield path the market prices off of; real yields are the carry cost of holding metal, so a weak or strong auction moves that cost directly.
COMEX option expiry
The last day the listed monthly option on the futures contract can be exercised; open interest around strikes tends to concentrate hedging activity into this session.
COMEX last trade day
The final trading day of the futures contract month; anything still open goes to delivery.
COMEX first notice day
The first day a long futures position can be assigned a delivery notice, so positions not intended for delivery are rolled or closed before it.

Next contract dates

The next two active delivery contracts for gold, silver and copper, one contract to a row, each with its own option expiry, first notice day and last trade day, from CME Group's published product calendars and cross-checked against the exchange rules. A contract in delivery stays until its last trade day, with its first notice marked as passed. Exchange dates, not times.

Where these dates come from

Every row is read from the primary publisher: the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bureau of Economic Analysis and Census Bureau release schedules, the Federal Reserve FOMC calendar, TreasuryDirect’s upcoming-auction feed, and CME Group’s gold, silver and copper product calendars. Nothing is taken from a third-party aggregator.

No expected figure appears anywhere on this page. The expected value ahead of a release is licensed data; the schedule, the prior reading and the actual reading are public facts. Actual readings fill in from the agency release after it lands.

COMEX option-expiry, first-notice and last-trade dates are computed from the exchange rules and compared with CME Group’s own published calendar. A disagreement stops the publish rather than showing either value.

Times are Eastern Time, the clock the US market keeps. Where your device is in another zone, the local time is added beside the ET time.

Fed speakers and other one-off events are curated by hand from the Federal Reserve’s public calendar and refreshed weekly. The absence of a speaker line means none was listed at the last refresh, not that none will occur.
